Paul F. Lewis

Paul spent nearly three decades practicing law with two terrific Seventeenth Street firms, Sherman & Howard LLC and Moye White, LLP, before he decided it was time for the next great adventure and formed his own firm in 2012. Paul then became senior counsel at KLCS.

Paul is a 1984 graduate of Stanford Law School, a 1981 graduate of Weber State University, and a 1974 graduate of Manitou Springs High School.

Paul served in the United States Air Force as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal technician from 1975 to 1979, when he was honorably discharged. His tours of duty included Incirlik CDI, Turkey and Hill AFB, Utah.

In his forty years of practice, Paul has successfully litigated and arbitrated multi-billion dollar intellectual property infringement cases and other highly complex business disputes. Paul continues his litigation and general legal practice, but more recently has served as a court-appointed special master to help manage particularly contentious disputes and has successfully resolved several cases as a mediator.

Paul’s view of the practice of law is best summarized in an aspiration written by his former law partner, Charles Luce: “A good lawyer will walk through fire to accomplish his client’s goals. He also has the sense not to carry a client in-to a burning house, even if that is where the client wants to go.”

Paul was a director of the El Paso County Bar Foundation and spent several years as a Big Brother volunteer.
